On 17 March 2021, the ESLS held its March dinner seminar at The Juniors in Kingsford. Our guest speakers were Madeleine Porter and Magistrate Glenn Bartley.
Madeleine is a specialist Costs Solicitor within the Professional Support Unit at the NSW Law Society. She spoke about various costs issues in practice, including client disputes and and costs agreements.
Magistrate Glenn Bartley, who sits at Newtown Local Court, presented on "Effective Advocacy in the Local Court". A copy of his Honour's paper can be downloaded in our "Past Papers" page.
That night, attendees earned 2 CPD points, including a mandatory point in Practice Management and Business Skills.
